Lysimachia Creepying Jenny
Part Sun to Sun
Self-Cleaning Attracts Butterflies Deer Resistant
Use in Baskets, Planters or Landscape
Beautiful trailing vines are perfect for adding color and texture to containers or for using in the landscape as a groundcover. Lysimachia is a low growing (4-6") creeping plant that forms a leafy mat when used as a ground cover or cascades over planters, baskets and walls. This lovely accent plant has rounded, slightly ruffled, penny sized leaves (3/4") that range from bright yellow in full sun to a more lime green in a shadier area. Profuse, cup-shaped, bright yellow flowers (to 3/4" across) appear in early summer and attract butterflies. Thrives in moist areas such as near water gardens or along steams, pools or ponds. This plant will root very easily anywhere the leaf nodes come into contact with the soil and can winter over in many areas. Tough enough to tolerate light foot traffic and known to be deer resistant.
