An easy-to-grow and maintain European balcony favorite. A flurry of color is produced by the "Blizzard" of lovely five petaled, self-cleaning, single flowers that form 3-4" bloom clusters that mound and then trail 24-36" in window-boxes, off balconies, baskets, or any containers. Alpine Ivy Geraniums have the thick ivy-shaped leaves that mound and then trail like traditional Ivy Geraniums but that is where the similarity stops. Unlike regular Ivy geraniums that wither quickly away as the temperature rises, Alpine Ivy Geraniums are the most heat, drought and humidity tolerant ivy available. In the south these plants do best if given filtered sun or shade during the hottest afternoon sun.
